Resource Highlight: Refuge

As a patron of Refuge, Sir Patrick Stewart speaks candidly of his own childhood experiences with domestic violence while sharing the stories of two women whose lives were deeply affected by domestic violence.

Refuge works each day to raise awareness and provide services for domestic violence victims. In partnership with Women’s Aid, Refuge offers a free, 24 hour national helpline (0808 2000 247). Refuge also offers support, shelter, and resources for survivors of domestic violence.

Many of their fantastic web resources have been featured in previous posts, including: Abusers: Ending the Cycle of Violence? , Spread a Little Christmas Cheer and Domestic Violence: Making a Safety Plan .
