I have no real personal experience with what the term “Spring Break” has come to mean, particularly for young adults in the States (I was either traveling around nippy parts of the world with my chamber singing group or working at the local supermarket while everyone else went to the beach). But I do know Spring Break is not typically equated with good decision making. You may be planning to travel -and be careful about what you do and with whom- but it remains true that “college aged students are at the highest risk for being sexually assaulted.” Whether you’ll be traveling over an upcoming school break or not, these are valuable cautionary suggestions to bear in mind for future excursions.
