The National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (USA) provides resources and aftercare for children who have been traumatized by domestic violence, sexual violence, neglect, natural disasters, terrorism, war zone/refugee trauma, etc. and their parents/caregivers. The Q&A above was conducted as an interview with Dr. Judith Cohen, a member of the NCTSN and Medical Director of the Center for Traumatic Stress in Children, Department of Psychiatry, at Allegheny General Hospital (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania).
